In Memory: The Twin Towers

Their majestic beauty towered above the city,
Gracefully standing guard over the smaller buildings.
Then swiftly one Septmember morn' you fell,
unable to protect those precious lives within.
Planes were not the cause of your demise,
but people who wished to destory our nation.
Instead they only cemented the bond,
making people once again proud to be an American.
Thousands more flags flew threw the September breeze.
And we'll make sure your memory never dies.
I promise that my children will be aware of your beauty and grace.
I will make sure that they know the most majestic buildings on earth were: The Twin Towers.

FOREVER TRUE

Tears stream down my face

as quickly as April showers

     burst from the sky.

While memories of you bloom in

my mind as if they were May

     flowers produced by the warm

     spring showers.

The day you passed away

     my world turned to gray.

I feel lost like I'm stumbling

     blindly in the dark.

Will my life ever regain it's

     dazzling spark?

I never got to say goodbye

now everday all I do is cry.

Even though you never got to hear me say "Daddy, I love you."

I just wat you to know that my heart is forever true.

In loving memory of my father, Stephen Collins
